Diploma in Language Studies

This course is designed to develop students speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in French or Japanese, with particular emphasis on terminology, structures and registers for communicative use in contemporary society.

Course Structure

The course may be studied concurrently with an undergraduate degree and will normally add one year to the duration of the student's course. The language units will normally be one unit per semester throughout the four years of the combined diploma and degree program. Unit enrolments must be selected in consultation with the Coordinator of the student's undergraduate degree program and in conjunction with the Coordinator of the relevant language study program.
