This nationally-recognised qualification is the second year of a two-year vocational music program at WAAPA. The course is designed for musicians wishing to expand their songwriting, instrumental (including vocal), ensemble and musicianship skills. The course also caters for students wishing to expand sound recording, designing and mixing skills. On completion of this course, a successful graduate would be expected to gain national industry recognition.

This course has been Nationally Recognised by: Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
All applicants are required to have completed a Diploma qualification in music. Alternatively applicants can be considered who have extensive vocational experience in music practice. Additionally applicants must attend an audition.
Portfolio pathway applications are not accepted for this course.
Students may complete a specialisation in either Performance or Sound Production.
