UniPrep Accelerate

UniPrep Accelerate is an intensive and challenging version of ECU’s successful university preparation program, UniPrep. UniPrep Accelerate is offered as an intensive, fee-free program for near miss ATAR students to prepare themselves well for university studies in a supported learning environment. For eligible students, the program will bridge the gap between secondary and university studies by providing academic skills development, university experiences, and an accessible pathway to university study.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Apply academic skills and techniques appropriate for the university environment.
  2. Communicate effectively in one or more discipline contexts in preparation for an undergraduate degree.
  3. Use digital technologies and literacies to access, analyse and synthesise relevant information from multiple sources to solve discipline specific problems.

Admission requirements

Admission requirement (Band 2)

  • Year 12 completion or equivalent.

English Language requirement (Band 2)

English competency requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:

  • Year 12 General English grade C or better;
  • Special Tertiary Admissions Test; or
  • Other tests, courses or programs as defined in the Admissions Policy.

Course Specific Admission Requirements

All applicants are required to be a Year 12 ATAR school leaver with an ATAR between 55-69.95.

Portfolio pathway applications are not accepted for this course.

Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level

This course has been accredited by ECU as a Non-AQF Award.

Course Duration

  • Students will complete all units over a 4 week period in January.
