This nationally-recognised qualification is the second year of a two-year vocational music program at WAAPA. The course is designed for musicians wishing to expand their songwriting, instrumental (including vocal), ensemble and musicianship skills. On completion of this course, a successful graduate would be expected to gain national industry recognition.

Portfolio pathway applications are not accepted for this course.
This course has been accredited by ECU as an AQF Level 6 Advanced Diploma Award.
Students may be required to attend evening and weekend rehearsals and performances.
Students may complete a specialisation in either Performance or Sound Production.
