This course is designed to build on specialised undergraduate degrees in medical, biomedical and paramedical sciences. The award comprises two components: course work and production of a research thesis. The coursework component provides instruction in specialised disciplinary knowledge and research skills that assist in the completion of the research thesis. The thesis component allows for in-depth investigation in the student's chosen field, and may include areas such as Huntingtons and Alzheimer's disease, melanoma, evolutionary biology and reproductive biology.
