Screen stories are powerful forms of storytelling and modes and technologies for developing and producing effective screen stories are rapidly evolving. The Graduate Certificate in Screen Creative Technologies will focus on future’ oriented screen production and exploration of innovation in screen technologies. In this course, students will explore Virtual Production (VP) through LED volume technology and Unreal Engine. They will also experiment with new screen technologies including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), 360 cameras and VR headsets. Students will learn about new types of media architecture, motion capture, holograms and multi-platform work, and create interactive options for scripted and documentary work using virtual worlds generated in ECU’s Virtual Production Lab. The Graduate Certificate will equip graduates with the knowledge and skills required for employment in new production roles in both studio and production house settings in the screen and media industries.
