This course builds students' managerial capabilities for a career in the public sector and related fields through the coverage of a range of topics relating to leadership, change management, the management of self, teams, and organisations. Theory is presented in a highly applied manner that highlights the importance of context in applying key concepts. Students are exposed to a wide variety of issues in the contemporary public sector workplaces and assessments will require the application of core concepts to their own workplace to maximise the relevance of the learning to each individual's unique situation.
