Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Apply high level, independent judgement when analysing and evaluating complex problems to generate creative solutions for business.
  2. Communicate advance knowledge, concepts and skills to a variety of audiences in business settings.
  3. Critique complex business issues considering the ethical and social consequence.
  4. Demonstrate advanced understanding of a global body of business knowledge and practice by initiating, planning, implementing and evaluating tasks in a business setting.

Admission requirements

Admission requirement (Band 6)

  • Bachelor degree; or
  • Equivalent prior learning including at least five years relevant professional experience.

English Language requirement (Band 4)

English competency requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:

  • IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.5 (no individual band less than 6.0);
  • Bachelor degree from a country specified in the Admissions Policy;
  • Successfully completed 0.375 EFTSL of study at postgraduate level or higher at an Australian higher education provider (or equivalent);
  • Where accepted, equivalent prior learning, including at least five years relevant professional experience; or
  • Other tests, courses or programs as defined in the Admissions Policy.

All applicants are required to meet the published entry requirements. Alternatively applicants may apply with a Graduate Certificate of Business/Commerce.

Non standard timetable requirements

On-campus delivery will be via either block delivery or intensive delivery. Block delivery involves online delivery of material, coupled with two complete weekends that are separated by a number of weeks. The material delivered via online mode will occur prior to the first block weekend and between the two weekend blocks of face to face teaching: or Intensive delivery l will occur over a number of consecutive days (normally five or six) of teaching. The student will be supported through appropriate online support such as pre-reading and an initial activity. Some specialisations can only be studied on-campus or online. Students should refer to the availability/delivery options listed against each specialisation for further details.
