Graduate Certificate of People and Culture

The Graduate Certificate in People and Culture is a program for HR professionals who want to build and champion positive workplace culture. Students build skills as an holistic HR professional with a person-centred approach to workplace success. This course also enables students to gain appreciation of the role of mental wellbeing and diversity in the success of a business. It develops an understanding of how to shape workforce and organisational culture through the use of HR analytics, innovation, inclusion and wellbeing practices.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate a body of specialised human resource management knowledge and practice by planning, implementing and evaluating functions in a business setting.
  2. Apply high level, independent judgement when analysing and evaluating complex problems to generate creative solutions.
  3. Communicate specialised knowledge and concepts to a variety of audiences in business settings.

Admission requirements

Admission requirement (Band 6)

  • Bachelor degree; or
  • Equivalent prior learning including at least five years relevant professional experience.

English Language requirement (Band 4)

English competency requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:

  • IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.5 (no individual band less than 6.0);
  • Bachelor degree from a country specified in the Admissions Policy;
  • Successfully completed 0.375 EFTSL of study at postgraduate level or higher at an Australian higher education provider (or equivalent);
  • Where accepted, equivalent prior learning, including at least five years relevant professional experience; or
  • Other tests, courses or programs as defined in the Admissions Policy.

Course Specific Admission Requirements

All applicants are required to have a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Human Resource Management, Management, Industrial Relations, Employment Relations, or Business Administration. Alternatively, applicants may apply with a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Human Resource Management.

  • Part Time: 1 Year
