Graduate Diploma of Project Management

ECU's 100% online and accelerated Graduate Diploma of Project Management has a strong business focus. It builds on the foundational units of the Graduate Certificate of Project Management to develop a higher level of project management capabilities and a broader focus on the strategic side of project management. Students learn how to align project management and the delivery of corporate strategy.

Course Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate a global body of advanced project management knowledge and practice by planning, implementing and evaluating functions and tasks in a specialised business setting.
2. Apply high level, independent judgement when analysing and evaluating complex project problems to generate creative solutions.
3. Communicate advanced project management knowledge and concepts to a variety of audiences in business settings.
4. Critique complex project management issues considering the ethical and social consequence.

Admission requirements

Admission requirement (Band 6)

• Bachelor degree; or
• Equivalent prior learning including at least five years relevant professional experience.

English Language requirement (Band 4)

English competency requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:

• IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.5 (no individual band less than 6.0);
• Bachelor degree from a country specified in the Admissions Policy;
• Successfully completed 0.375 EFTSL of study at postgraduate level or higher at an Australian higher education provider (or equivalent);
• Where accepted, equivalent prior learning, including at least five years relevant professional experience; or
• Other tests, courses or programs as defined in the Admissions Policy.

Course Specific Admission Requirements

All applicants are required to meet the published entry requirements. Alternatively, applicants may apply with a Graduate Certificate of Project Management, with equivalents considered.

Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level

This course has been accredited by ECU as an AQF Level 8 Graduate Diploma Award.

• Online: Full Time, Part Time

Non standard timetable requirements

For accelerated online, enrolment is classified as part-time, as students are studying one unit per study period with 6 accelerated study periods per year, each 7 weeks in length.
