Graduate Certificate in Public Health

Effective from 01-JAN-2023 : Code W60

ECU’s Graduate Certificate of Public Health offers students the opportunity to gain entry level skills and knowledge required for a career in public health practice. Public Health is a broad field which aims to improve and protect the health and wellbeing of the general population. Public health practitioners encourage individuals and communities to have greater control over their health and well-being, and to influence relevant organisations that lead to better health for all. Graduates gain skills in surveillance and in building an 'evidence-base' for public health issues. They also have skills which address issues around social injustice and health inequities. The course can also be used as a pathway into the Graduate Diploma of Public Health or the full Master of Public Health program.
