Bachelor of Arts

This course enables students to pursue their passion and career goals simultaneously with a choice of majors spanning traditional and contemporary arts and humanities disciplines. Students will have a unique opportunity to design a focused or cross-disciplinary course according to their personal interests, in areas that cover historical, critical, political, theoretical and creative practices that underpin our global cultures and industries. This multi-skilled approach is essential in contextualising and applying knowledge and experience in a broad range of employment fields. To help students create exactly the undergraduate experience they want for their anticipated professional life, ongoing professional support throughout the course is provided. Work-related placement is also encouraged.

Course Structure

Students are required to complete 4 Core units and an 8-unit Major. This will be supported by a supplementary program following one of the following patterns: Pattern 1 comprises: a second 8-unit Major; plus a 4-unit Minor or 4 Elective units. Pattern 2 comprises: a 4-unit Minor; plus 8 units, comprising of either another 8-unit Major, or two 4-unit Minors, or a 4-unit Minor and 4 Elective units, or 8 Elective units. Note: No more than 10 of the units studied should be at first-year level and at least 4 units must be at third-year level.
