This course is designed to meet the challenges of employment (including self-employment) within the context of an emerging creative economy. The creative industries form an increasingly important component of the global economy, focused upon the creation and exploitation of intellectual property across a range of disciplines including film, design, digital media and photography. In this course, students will research and develop original products that impact on audiences and address practical outcomes for users. Graduates will have an informed, critical and creative approach to understanding media, design and visual culture within a rapidly evolving social and work environment.

Students are required to complete a Core unit set, plus 4 Elective units relating to a specialised area, and an 8-unit Major. This will be supported by a supplementary program, comprising of a second 8-unit Major, or two 4-unit Minors, or a 4-unit Minor and 4 Elective units, or 8 Elective units.

Note: CCA3111 is a Core capstone unit and is required to be taken in the final semester of study.
