This unit extends the skills of a training actor in rehearsal and performance to the level of a professional theatre standard. In a program of public performances students work with guest and resident directors, and alongside stage and production management, costume, set, lighting and sound students, to create a polished and assured season.
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
Rehearsals and performance for public in short season, Collegial and collaborative interaction with students and staff in the areas of stage and production management, lighting, set and costume discussion, and front of house, Formal auditions, Critical feedback after each production with a panel, Seminars with visiting artists and industry people. Guest and resident professional directors
