Showcase is the final performance of the degree programme to which industry people are invited and the link to a professional career is established. Scenes, monologues and possibly musical numbers are chosen, rehearsed and staged. A showreel is also filmed and shown at these events. The performances are in national theatres, usually in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. It is common to make contact with agents during these events and it is regarded as the showpiece of the WAAPA actors.
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
Students will attend on campus classes as well as engage in learning activities through ECU Blackboard.

To develop, rehearse and perform on screen and stage in the graduating Acting Showcase to a public audience, including agents and casting agents in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, Classroom workshops, formal studio rehearsals and one-on-one tutorials, TV Studio and location film shoots will occur for the students show reel material.
