Description

This unit further develops knowledge and skills gained in units such as Financial Processes in the Arts, Managing People and Arts Production Planning. It examines in detail the project planning and management activities undertaken by an Executive Producer when mounting an arts production. The focus is on operational planning and accommodating all project inputs from rehearsal to acquittal to ensure successful project management outcomes.

Prerequisite Rule

Students must pass 2 units from ADM1340, ADM1415

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Determine the roles and decision making requirements of an Executive Producer by engaging in the full project planning process.
  2. Employ an integrative project management process.
  3. Generate accurate and comprehensive project management plans.

  2. Project implementation considerations.
  3. Project team and resources management.
  4. The roles of an Executive Producer and variations in international contexts.
