Description

This unit involves the implementation of an Honours research project and the submission of an Honours thesis.

Students must pass ASH5101

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Identify, evaluate and synthesise relevant scientific literature into a review.
  2. Design and implement research experiments or field studies.
  3. Generate and analyse scientific data.
  4. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of research techniques.
  5. Consolidate findings into a thesis that demonstrate critical appraisal and assess the implications of the study.
  6. Communicate research findings to peers and scientific community.

  1. Literature review.
  2. Data collection.
  3. Data analysis.
  4. Review of research methods.
  5. Preparation of thesis and seminar.

Learning Experience

Students will attend on campus classes as well as engage in learning activities through ECUs LMS

Under the close supervision of the supervisor the student will carry out the project, analyse and evaluate the results, prepare and submit the thesis.
