Description

In this unit, students will learn how to apply knowledge of marketing strategy to using digital platforms to promote and develop artistic careers and projects. The Internet has become a key resource for the innovative marketing, distribution and development of the arts. Students will consider the opportunities and particular issues the internet presents, including how social media platforms can be used effectively in the arts. This unit will help prepare students for professional life by enhancing their ability to develop, promote and market their work using a range of digital platforms and resources.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Apply knowledge of digital platforms to the development of a marketing and communications plan.
  2. Use appropriate and innovative digital or online tools in the marketing and promotion of creative projects or artists.
  3. Communicate marketing concepts using relevant industry terminology.

  2. The Artists Digital Identity.
  3. Internet tools and services for artists and arts managers.
  4. Interactive processes for engaging audiences.
