Description

Television studio presentation is an important skill in the broadcasting landscape. This unit provides instruction and practical exercises in a variety of television performance skills and presentation techniques through intensive weekly studio sessions, led by industry professionals. Students are assisted to gain expertise and confidence in various studio presentation roles (e.g. news, weather, sport, live crosses).

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Analyse the characteristics of and produce material for a selected television genre.
  2. Deliver a live studio presentation that includes ad-lib.
  3. Make adequate preparation (e.g. grooming, makeup) for a television appearance.
  4. Present a television weather report.
  5. Present television news or current affairs using an autocue.
