Description
This unit examines change management in as a strategy in the clinical setting, which involves: planning, tracking and managing processes in order to effect change in the health care environment. This unit aims to equip students with the ability to operate as change agents in order to lead and manage the change process. As a component of this unit students will construct a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates their management of change in their healthcare setting.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
- Appraise the process of change in the clinical setting.
- Conceptualise a sustainable change management project which is culturally and ethically sound.
- Critically evaluate a comprehensive review of change management theories.
- Design a standard format for a change management plan.
- Design resistance to change strategies in the clinical setting.
- Implement appropriate models for change in the health care environment.
- Produce evidence of collaborative and productive relationships with all members of the multi-professional team.
- Synthesise leadership for change strategies in the clinical setting both at local and international level.
