The unit introduces students to important theological and educational principles underpinning Religious Education taught in Catholic schools. A major focus of this unit is knowledge and implementation of the Religious Education Program (Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary) used in Catholic schools in Western Australia. This unit is designed for students considering teaching in Catholic schools in Western Australia. Completion of three Catholic Education units forms part of the accreditation requirements to teach in Catholic schools.
