This unit studies a range of contemporary issues which influence the theory and practice of religious education in Catholic schools in the Australian context. The unit explores issues pertaining to the nature and purpose of religious education, as well as socio-cultural and religious issues which constitute the broader context in which religious education is conducted.
This unit will be conducted as a compacted unit, either: One week during school holidays; four Saturdays during the semester or summer school in late January. Students wishing to enrol in CED6102 should consult university timetable for availability and the mode of delivery.
