This unit examines an understanding of sacramentality and the seven sacraments within the Catholic tradition. The unit also explores the meaning of sign, symbol, ritual and gift associated with each of the sacraments. Also examined is the teaching of sacramentality and the sacraments in the Religious Education Learning Area in a Catholic school. Students will be supported in building the required skills for critical analysis, evaluation, application and the integration of unit content.
