This unit examines the role of the leader in a Catholic school setting. Contemporary culture, schooling in the 21st century and current research on religious leadership are analysed in light of Scripture and Church documents to explore implications for leadership today in Catholic schools. Theoretical knowledge will be linked to practical experience and a case study in order to explore challenges and opportunities for leaders in today's Catholic schools. Students will be supported in building the required skills for critical analysis, evaluation, application and the integration of unit content.
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
