This unit examines the Catholic Education system in Western Australia. The unit investigates what is distinctive about Catholic schools and evaluates what is needed for these schools to be effective places of both learning and evangelisation. The unit invites students to analyse and critique both the culture and curriculum of Catholic schools to determine whether they are effective Catholic schools. Students are also invited to reflect critically on the expectations relating to personal and professional conduct in Catholic schools. Students will be supported in building the required skills for critical analysis, evaluation, application and the integration of unit content.
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
Students will engage in learning experiences through ECUs LMS as well as additional ECU l
Student centred seminars, presentations, reading, collaborative and individual learning activities and tasks.
