This unit introduces students to the field of educational computing in secondary schools in Western Australia and encourages the development of a comprehensive knowledge base concerning ICT in a school context. It includes an introduction to the teaching of computer science courses in secondary schools in years 7-12. This unit also examines school curricula, appropriate computer applications and the development and assessment of teaching programmes.
