Description

Students initiate, plan and implement an independent project, under the supervision of a staff member.

Prerequisite Rule

Students must pass 1 units from CSG5141

Equivalent Rule

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Apply selected methodologies to the solution of the research problem.
  2. Develop a project report in a specified format.
  3. Investigate the research problem according to the procedures and time-lines proposed in the research proposal.

Unit Content

  1. Evaluation and discussion of project outcomes.
  2. Implementation of strategies appropriate to the project.
  3. Presentation of a written report or equivalent project materials.
  4. Review of the relevant literature.

Additional Learning Experience Information

Students, under the supervision of a nominated supervisor, will take responsibility for their own learning through independent study, discussion with students and staff, and regular meetings with the supervisor.
