This unit provides an introduction to ethical hacking, an emerging field using practical skills to penetrate secure systems with the aim to uncover vulnerabilities so that they can be mitigated. This unit focuses particularly on network-enabled services and technologies. Students will learn techniques for evaluating the security of network configuration and to defend against network-based threats.
Students must have passed CSI6199, CSI6201 and CSI6202
