Description

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to develop effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills to engage a viewing audience when presenting to camera. It applies to individuals who present information to camera in a variety of contexts, including programs for television, video, and online services. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Elements

  • 1. Identify elements of effective presentation to camera
  • 2. Develop techniques for reading scripted material
  • 3. Develop techniques for communicating effectively on camera
  • 4. Record scripted material for broadcast

Learning Experience

Students will attend on campus classes as well as engage in learning activities through ECU Blackboard.
