Description

This unit is undertaken by students who have previously undertaken Cyber Project 1. In this unit students will work individually or as part of a group to develop and implement a significant cyber security project. Students will work with a supervisor with appropriate expertise to support their project as well as an industry client where applicable. As well as developing and implementing the key project goals, students will keep records of work assigned, work completed, meetings held, scope changes and monitor the overall health of the project's implementation.

Non Standard Timetable Requirements

Students undertake this unit in an accelerated delivery mode over 7 weeks.

Students must pass CYB6012

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Evaluate and document the ongoing implementation of a cyber security project to a high level of detail.
  2. Apply appropriate methodologies and techniques to implement a solution to a cyber security problem.
  3. Demonstrate project management methods and approaches.

Unit Content

  1. Presentation of a progress report or equivalent project materials.
  2. Evaluation and discussion of project progress.
  3. Implementation of strategies and techniques appropriate to the project.
  4. Managing project milestones.
  5. Time management.
  6. Managing scope change.
