This unit allows students to develop skills in the creation and manipulation of digital media, which then can be applied to choreographic processes. The unit will cover the authoring of video content or delivery through fixed media storage such as DVD. The emphasis is on increasing awareness of the technology and its application in the field of dance. Topics covered include image manipulation, video equipment, video editing and video compression. Focusing on still and dynamic graphic images, students explore 2D, 3D, digital audio and video software.
