Description

In this unit, students from both streams of Individual or Company research will continue with, and draw to completion, research projects approved in the earlier unit. Students will be expected to document the activities conducted throughout the project, identifying problems that arise while proposing and putting into practice possible solutions. Emphasis is placed on the originality of the student's explorations and/or findings, articulated in communication with their peers.

Prerequisite Rule

Students must pass 1 unit from DAN5101

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Make an original contribution to the knowledge of performing arts in their chosen area.
  2. Produce a thesis conveying an advanced knowledge of their chosen specialisation, presented in a format according to academic protocols on referencing.

Unit Content

  1. Editing practices.
  2. Problem solving strategies in group situations.
  3. Project documentation in written and audio-visual formats.
  4. Self evaluation techniques.

Additional Learning Experience Information

Rehearsals, practical teaching, practical involvement, performances, problem-solving processes, observation or performances and /or teaching, reflection and analysis with supervisor.
