This unit explores the study of theatre for young audiences, and theatre performed by young people themselves. It will cover history, aims and methodology. Students will develop skills in devising and producing theatre with young people. There will be a strong practical bias to work carried out in this unit.

This unit explores youth theatre principles through drama pedagogies and practice. Students will develop skills in devising and producing work while learning valuable principles, techniques and skills that will help them grow as drama teachers and as performing artists. Students will collaborate to develop new and/or existing works through practical workshops and rehearsals.
