This unit provides students with an introduction to technical graphic communication through pictorial, orthographic and geometrical constructions as well as computer aided drafting. Australian Standard Drawing practices will be used.
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
Theoretical and practical aspects of the course will be covered in the form of lectures, demonstrations, and student practical workshops. These workshops will be held in three hours per week allocated. Workshop exercises are designed to be commenced in class and completed in the students' own time. Students are expected to devote approximately 10 hours per week to this unit. Thus, 3 hours of workshop time (class time) means approximately 7 hours of assigned time (out of class time) for review, research and practice.
