Description
Computer assisted drawing and design using AutoCAD and Pro/Desktop, for 3D Solid Modelling. Creating, editing, manipulating and presenting designs.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
- Demonstrate competency and expertise in a range of orthographic and geometrical drawings.
- Demonstrate competency and expertise in three dimensional AutoCAD.
- Demonstrate competency and expertise in three dimensional Pro/Desktop.
- Describe and discuss terminology, hardware and software features, and advantages and limitations of CAD.
- Input and output drawings with the available computers, peripheral devices, and software
- Perform disk and file management under Windows, and

- Development of the Australian Standard Drawing practices.
- Introduction to AutoCAD 3D solids modeling.
- Introduction to Pro/Desktop 3D solids modeling.
