This unit explores the limitless potential of the Arts for harnessing the natural curiosities of young children and extending their capacity for higher order thinking and expression beyond conventional forms of communication. Pre-service teachers will build on their well-established practical knowledge to develop an understanding of the powerful nature of integrated learning through dance, drama, music, visual arts and media experiences. Pre-service teachers will investigate current research into learning environments, creativity and learning to explore ways of planning, implementing and evaluating an integrated Arts curriculum. This unit reflects contemporary views in education and promotes an innovative approach to educational practices for children from birth to eight years old.
Students must pass AED1240, MUE2240 and AED3245 to enrol in this unit
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
