This unit explores approaches to assisting children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) to develop appropriate behaviour - this includes children with disabilities and emotional and behavioural difficulties. A major emphasis of this unit is on assessing and planning for behaviour change in order to establish a consistent approach. In particular, students will examine approaches to assist children in inclusive settings; however, the application of these strategies in special educational settings will also be explored.
