Description

This unit consolidates pedagogical and content knowledge developed throughout the Master of Teaching course. The art and science of instruction will come together in this unit requiring our pre-service teachers to think more scientifically and creatively about the way they deliver information to students and support them through their learning journey, taking into consideration their diverse needs to create the most powerful learning experiences. The focus is on enhancing student learning through quality teaching, and the AITSL standards will be used as a framework to understand and describe the kinds of knowledge needed by a teacher for effective pedagogical practice in a technology enhanced learning environment. Completion of a reflective journal will consolidate learning throughout the course. This journal will document, and show commitment to, reflective practice, providing evidence of successful implementation of professional learning activities.
