Description

This unit fosters advanced skills in visual design, camerawork, sound design and editing. Students will work collaboratively and creatively with performers. All work is expected to be produced to a high technical standard.

Prerequisite Rule

Students must pass 1 units from FAV2150 Screen Production

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Work confidently with principles of visual design.
  2. Work collaboratively and professionally with performers.
  3. Implement strategies for effective sound design.
  4. Plan and execute post-production special effects.

Unit Content

  1. The generation, structuring and re-structuring, scripting and re-scripting of ideas into a creative and coherent whole.
  2. Advanced production management.
  3. Advanced cinematography, lighting and sound design.
  4. Direction and theories of direction.
  5. Advanced editing techniques and working with special effects.
