Description

This unit involves the identification and implementation of a Master of Science Research Project.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Identify an appropriate project.
  2. Review and analyse literature relevant to the project.
  3. Develop an acceptable proposal for the project.
  4. Present the project proposal at a research seminar.

  1. The nature and scope of a research project.
  2. Literature survey and review.
  3. Developing a project proposal.
  4. Presenting a research seminar.

Additional Learning Experience Information

Following initial consultations with the unit co-ordinator and potential supervisors, the student will select a project of interest. Thereafter, the student will consult with the supervisor on relevant literature, development of a project proposal and presentation of the research seminar.
