Description

This unit develops students’ applied analytical skills and knowledge of digital HRM systems in practice. Through exploring the content and engaging with the learning activities, the unit cultivates evidence-based decision-making capability, incorporating data analysis, within the context of people management.

This unit will be offered in an accelerated mode over seven weeks.

Prerequisite Rule

Students must be enrolled in T38 and T39 and have completed a minimum of 40 credit points to enrol into this unit.

Equivalent Rule

Unit equivalent to MAN6728.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Identify the role of Data in Business and HRM practices and processes.
  2. Explain the relevance and importance of HR Information Systems for HRM practice.
  3. Analyse HR Information System data to draw meaningful conclusions for HRM.
  4. Critically evaluate the effectiveness of HR Information Systems and associated data usage and analysis.
