Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Identify and critically evaluate a relevant focus for teaching Civics and Citizenship curriculum and Global Education.
  2. Develop teaching and learning plans using effective pedagogical approaches, including integration, for teaching Civics and Citizenship and Global Education.
  3. Locate, critically evaluate and utilise a range of resources for effective teaching and learning in the Humanities and Social Sciences learning area.
  4. Identify and apply appropriate techniques to assess and evaluate student levels of achievement in the Humanities and Social Sciences learning area.

  2. Examples of Civics and Citizenship and Global Education initiatives and programs.
  3. Planning for Civics and Citizenship.
