Arts Practicum has been designed to offer students a one semester placement with an appropriate community based agency or organisation. During the semester they will have the opportunity to use generic and specialist skills in the completion of a project or tasks of recognisable value to the agency/organisation. The unit will therefore provide students with practical experience of a professional workplace, and enhance their post graduation employment prospects.

On completion of this unit students should be able to:
The scope and form of the project or tasks will be agreed upon by student, agency/organisation and practicum coordinator prior to the commencement of the practicum. The project will be undertaken at times convenient to the agency/organisation and the student, and will be supervised primarily by the agency/organisation.here are no seminars or on-campus meetings for this unit. Regular online access is necessary for all students. Unit information and forms are made available via Blackboard. Assignments must be submitted via Blackboard.
