Description

In this unit students continue with their research project. Specifically, complete data collection, process and analyse data including applying appropriate statistical methods. Further, students will critically analyse the results and compare to previous research in the form a research report. The completion of this unit will demonstrate the ability to complete the entire research process on a topic associated with infant mental health.

Prerequisite Rule

Must have passed IMH6005.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Implement the processes of research data collection.
  2. Analyse the data employing rigorous quantitative or qualitative protocols.
  3. Synthesize the research findings within the context of the extant research literature.
  4. Produce a written final research report.

Unit Content

  1. Independently execute a research proposal by proceeding with data collection.
  2. Analyse and synthesise findings.
  3. Present research findings within a written report.
  4. Prepare and submit a research proposal. Respond to feedback and gain final approval for project from ECU ethics committee.
