Description

The International Business Project III is the capstone unit for studies in international business. To complete this unit successfully students are required to develop an international business strategy that covers the initiation, development, implementation and consolidation of their own business in an international market. Meeting this challenge requires enhanced knowledge and relevant skills in international business in differing fields and contexts.

Prerequisite Rule

Students must pass 2 units from INB2101, INB2102

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Create an international business concept and work in a group to develop this concept.
  2. Develop a firm conceptual, theoretical and practical understanding of formulating a strategic business plan.
  3. Develop an integrated business plan for a small to medium sized company (or any multinational corporation) and help the company's international market expansion with strategic recommendations and analyses of different market entry strategies (e.g., export, strategic alliance, foreign direct investment).

  2. International trade and investment theory.
  3. Strategic business planning.
  4. Theories of market entry strategies.

Additional Learning Experience Information

On-campus students attend a weekly three-hour seminar, group presentation and small group discussion. Online students access the program via Blackboard. Regular online access is required.
