This unit offers students the experience of working to deadline in a virtual newsroom environment. It teaches advanced news reporting skills, news editing skills and provides experience of involvement in the news production process. Student articles from this unit are published online on an e-news site and its bulletins. Students leave the unit with newsroom production experience, a portfolio of published articles online, a CV entry describing their work on the publication and the beginnings of a relevant network of industry contacts.
