The focus of this unit is on the development of fundamental mathematics concepts in order to lay a foundation for ongoing learning. Students will examine the structure and content of the mathematics curriculum, particularly in the junior primary years. A range of teaching and learning strategies designed to promote learning and develop positive attitudes in mathematics will be introduced.
