This unit enables students to extend their understanding of mathematics teaching across all primary years. Strategies and resources for incorporating mathematical processes, content and skills in ways that engage and motivate children are addressed, as are issues associated with numeracy across the curriculum. Students will use contemporary curriculum documents to plan and assess ongoing mathematics teaching and learning into middle childhood. Support will be provided to enable students to continue the development of their personal mathematical knowledge.
