In this unit students will investigate why learning mathematics is difficult for some children. The students are required to think critically as they engage in collecting, analysing and responding to mathematics assessment data. The implications for teaching practices will be investigated. In addition, students will build a bank of diagnostic tools, resources, strategies and practices for professional use in diagnosis and intervention.
