Project quality management describes the processes required to ensure that the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken. There are three phases in this process: quality planning which includes identifying which quality standards are relevant to the project, determining how to satisfy them and how and when they'll be measured; quality assurance which involves periodic evaluation to ensure that project inputs and outcomes will satisfy the relevant quality standards; and, quality control which involves monitoring specific project results to ensure that they comply with the relevant quality standards while identifying ways to improve both product and process. Achieving planned levels of quality requires effective communication between team members and other stakeholders. Skills in managing relationships are critical in achieving stakeholder satisfaction through all stages of the project. This unit teaches the technical and soft skills required for managing project quality and provides students with an opportunity to discover how these skills are used in the workplace.

Students will engage in learning experiences through ECU Blackboard as well as additional ECU learning technologies.
This unit will be delivered using technology enhanced learning which will integrate both face-to-face and digital experiences. Students will be required to access and use a variety of digital learning materials to prepare for and engage in class discussion and activities. Learning activities and assignments will develop communication and analytical abilities of students as well as providing opportunities to discover, discuss and apply theory in a meaningful context. Students studying in off campus mode will access the program via Blackboard and regular online access is required. Students need to be actively engaged in the unit by reading the required readings, listening to any recorded lectures and participating in the review quizzes and exercises with answers that are posted on the Blackboard.

On-Campus Students will attend on campus classes as well as engage in learning activities through ECU Blackboard and other online systems. To maximise student engagement and opportunities for learning, some of the learning activities may be conducted in the form of webinars and or video conferencing; mirroring the way that businesses use to communicate and learn. Details about these activities are provided in the unit plan schedule. Online Students will engage in learning experiences through ECU Blackboard as well as additional ECU learning technologies. These may include the use of webinars, videoconferencing and or online discussion board activities. Details about these activities are provided in the unit plan schedule. This Unit uses technology enhanced learning (TEL) to enhance the teaching and learning experiences for students and tutors by enabling them to engage in ways that would not normally be available or effective in a more traditional classroom / lecture environment. The unit involves a mix of delivery modes, teaching approaches and learning styles. In addition, some of the modules in the unit will be delivered by online video classroom & webinars, which may include guest lectures and other elements aligned with the curriculum.
